About Seller In 1988 Dr. Peter Bligh saw the need to address the problem of stray and abandoned cats in the Kings Country area. At the time there was no other shelter of its type and still today the Valley Animal Shelter is the only one that exists in the county. Dr. Bligh, being both an animal lover and veterinarian, also saw a need for these neglected animals to get essential medical treatment, vaccinations to protect them against disease and, of course, spaying and neutering to address the underlying problem.
